Building community in the veterinary profession
In January of 2021 join a supportive group of peers from across Canada for a 6-month series designed to build leadership skills, create connections and learn from our shared experience.
Monthly Zoom Meeting: Meet with a group of veterinary leaders from across Canada to build a community of practice around a specific leadership topic designed to expand your awareness and empower your leadership practice. Open to veterinarian, RVTs and practice managers who are in a direct leadership position in their organization.
Private Facebook Group: Join a community of supportive peers on Facebook designed to build connections and provide resources for your leadership practice outside monthly meetings.
Reading and resource list provided prior to each meeting.
Peer to peer engagement and connection.
Guest speakers: Guest speakers will expand our learning providing expertise on specific topics. Dr. Jean-Yin Tan from UCVM will join us to lead a discussion on diversity, equality and inclusion in the veterinary profession and Jolene Watson, RVT and founder of Clarity Coaching and Consulting will bring her expertise on personality type and leadership style to our group. Final guest speaker on financial tips for a profitable practice pending.
Tentative Topics: Healthy boundaries, Aligning your teams purpose and values, Courageous conversations, Diversity, equality and inclusion, Personality and leadership type, Financial fitness of your practice.
CE credit: 6 hours of continuing education credit pending from provincial veterinary medical associations.
Meeting time 4:00 to 5:30 pm PST the second Wednesday of each month starting January 13, 2021 until June 9, 2021.
Veterinarians $575 +gst. RVT’s and practice managers $375 +gst
